anyway, my answer was: i always shoot with natural light, i never use reflectors or extra lighting. you can see some behind the scenes pictures if you click the link ‘self’ on the left, and you can see that i’m not holding anything besides my camera. x

thanks for letting me know, but i wasn’t using the word to refer to a community or ethnic group, rather referring to it as a lifestyle.

in my personal opinion, i think words are hurtful depending how they’re used. while ‘gypsy’ does have many negative connotations, i feel like it’s acceptable to use it depending HOW you’re using it. i’d be more than happy to use another word to describe being someone drawn to an unconventional way of life, traveling from place to place as required for jobs.

aww thank you so much! while i know i’m there at the wedding to do my job, it doesn’t stop me from smiling and enjoying the day, i love talking to strangers and it makes me happy to see what a wonderful time the couple are having. so yes, i guess i do still see it as something beautiful.

as for me, i don’t personally feel i need to get married to show my love for someone. but who knows, maybe my mind will change later down the track ;) as for the photos, i have some awesome wedding photographer friends who i am sure would capture the day in the most amazing way.

when the opportunity arises! i would like to one day host photography workshops around the world actually. i don’t really know anyone in bali though, but if you wanted to put a group of people who wanted to learn maybe i can head over there…. :)

i’ve got colour presets for my photos, so i edit them one by one, but it’s fairly quick. i add a preset, then tweak it slightly, then retouch it. retouching 20 photos might take me the half the day? it’s always different depending how much work needs to be done to them, but maybe about 4 - 6 hours.
